With a wide variety of light sources available, each with a long list of specifications, it can be daunting to try to choose the appropriate light bulbs for an exhibition space. In order to reach a conclusion, an ideal situation should be determined for the particular works of art to be exhibited. The manufacturer may not supply all of the necessary information for comparisons, so taking measurements can aid in making the final decision.
The specifications of the light bulbs that were taken into account were their color temperature (CT) or correlated color temperature (CCT), illuminance (in lux), ultraviolet radiation (UV) content, energy efficacy, and general visual appearance.
